Caviar leather – is not what it sounds like

Lately ‘caviar leather’ pops out the net more and more. Mainly responsible for that seems to be Chanel with its uncountable handbag collections. But just to make sure: the caviar leather does not derive from sturgeons and neither from its ‘cousin’, the paddlefish. It is the dried skin of a stingray. Probably coming from a thai stingray farm (yes, they do that).
Price range mostly somewhere between 300-450USD with some articles reaching the 2’000USD barrier.
